The 2024 Annual Selection raises anchor!

They will tell us the magic as the real, talk about lives of struggles and vital struggles… In 2024, the eight writers-directors of the Annual Selection will take us far – at sea, on other continents, in a sublimated or devastated nature – so many playgrounds of their creative explorations!
The laureates of the 2024 Annual Selection are:

The 2024 Annual Selection
From April to December, spread over four sessions, the eight laureates will come in Plouneour-Brignogan (Brittany, France) to develop their film. Surrounded by four midwifes from Le Groupe Ouest, they will exchange, experience, doubt and marvel together. And thread after thread, they will weave the web of their story…
2024 will also be a good year of harvest for the films developed during the previous Annual Selections (see below).
Films under the spotlights
Since 2007, Le Groupe Ouest’s flagship programme has accompanied the creation of films that have won prestigious awards such as the Caméra d’Or for “Divines” by Houda Benyamina, the Grand Prix in Cannes for “Close” by Lukas Dhont, the Best Film at the Goya for “Les Sorcières d’Akelarre” by Pablo Agüero, as well as recent awards at the César for “Chien de la Casse” by Jean-Baptiste Durand, among others.
Choosing from more than 230 projects received was an arduous task for the 2024 Jury, which praised the high overall quality of the submissions.
