Tara Mulholland
Born in London and raised between England and Ireland, Tara moved to Paris after studying English and American literature at University College London, followed by a master’s degree in modern literature at Sorbonne Nouvelle University focused on fairy tales.
She began her career at the legendary Shakespeare and Company, where she worked for three years and co-founded a literary festival, before joining the International Herald Tribune — now the New York Times International — as an Arts & Culture editor and journalist for eleven years.
In 2018, after completing a master’s degree in screenwriting at The Open University, she left journalism to devote herself to fiction writing. Her first television project, Madama Reale (co-written with Laura Piani), won the I Savoia: La Serie prize in 2020.
Since then, Tara has collaborated on numerous television series and feature film projects, notably with Coline Serreau, Clémence Poésy, Coline Abert, and Guillaume Miquel. She is currently developing EncroChat, a series about criminal networks co-written with Nicolas Peufaillit, as well as the feature film Love, Death and Otters, a romantic comedy written with Aurélia Morali.
