Laura Piani

After studying film and literature in Paris and Rome, Laura Piani worked as a bookseller at Shakespeare & co in Paris while studying screenwriting at the Conservatoire européen d’écriture audiovisuelle. She was part of the inaugural cohort of LA FEMIS school Showrunner course and works for television and film.

She has written unitaries and series in France and abroad and co-writes for the cinema with directors such as Edouard Deluc, Diane Bertrand, Cristina Pinheiro, Marion Laine and Guillaume Gallienne. 

She is working as a tutor for Le Groupe Ouest, TorinoFilmLab, Krakow Film Festival, Pop Up Residency in Bratislava and TRT 12 Punto in Istanbul, and has taught scriptwriting at Les Beaux-Arts de Paris, ESRA, Ciné Fabrique, CEEA and Emergence’s Atelier Série.

She wrote and directed her first short film “Prudence Ledoux a le vent en poupe”, a romantic comedy for OCS with Alice Butaud and Pierre François Garel in 2022.

She just finished the shooting her first feature film “Jane Austen a gâché ma vie” produced by Le Bureau with Camille Rutherford, Pablo Pauly and Charlie Anson, in post-production in 2024.
