Delphine Gleize

Delphine Gleize joined La Fémis in 1994 in the Scenario section, after a Master of Arts.

She directed several short films, including “Dirtie Basterdz”, which won many awards in Clermont-Ferrand, Angers, Brest… and the César for Best Short Film in 2000. “A Castle in Spain”, her second short film, won awards at the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes, in Pantin Film Festival…

In 2001, she directed “Medusa” presented at the Cannes International Critics’ Week. At the 2002 Cannes Film Festival, her first feature film, “Carnages”, is presented in the Official Selection, and receives the Youth Prize. The film is sold in fifteen countries. In 2005, she directed her second feature film “The Man Who Dreamt of a Child”. Selected in several festivals, the film is released in 2007.

In 2010, her documentary “Cavaliers Seuls” (co-written and co-produced with Jean Rochefort) is released, and in 2011, her feature film “The Moon Child”, with Emmanuelle Devos and Vincent Lindon. The film is screened in Turin, Rio and Hamburg Festivals. Her documentary, “Great Expectations”, is dedicated to the rugby team l’Aviron Bayonnais. The film is released in 2019.

Delphine Gleize also works as a screenwriter. In 2020, she is co-writer on Eric Lartigau’s next two films, and she is working on the writing of her new feature film.
