Yacine Badday
Yacine Badday writes for film and television. Following his work on several short films and documentaries, he co-wrote Skies of Lebanon, Chloé Mazlo’s debut feature film, which premiered in 2020 at the Critics’ Week section of the Cannes Film Festival. Subsequently, he co-wrote the screenplays for Our Eternal Summer by Émilie Aussel (Special Jury Prize, Cinéastes du Présent, Locarno 2021), Acide by Just Philippot (Official Selection, Cannes 2023 – Midnight Screening), and Little Jaffna by Lawrence Valin (Critics’ Week, Venice 2024).

In the 1950s, young Alice leaves Switzerland for Lebanon, a sun-soaked and exuberant land. There, she falls head over heels for Joseph, a mischievous astrophysicist who dreams of sending the first Lebanese person into space. Alice rapidly finds her place within his family. But after a few years of dolce vita, civil war begins to creep into their paradise..
