Nolwenn Guiziou

Nolwenn GUIZIOU was born in Brittany in 1977. She holds a master’s degree in French and

English literature from the universities of Wales and Bretagne Occidentale. After working as a stage manager for the Welsh Opera Company and for Castle Ward Opera Festival (Northern Ireland), she has created a street-performance company with a focus on puppetry and story-telling (The Pirate Puppet Company). For more than 10 years, they have toured in Ireland, England, Portugal and Spain.

She is currently working as a script-consultant, writer and experimental film-maker, both in

documentary and fiction.

Her work is regularly shown in experimental and 3D-stereoscopic film festivals (Busan, FUFF, Los Angeles 3D, Tokyo, Angoulême Courant 3D.)

At the moment, she is working with the Austrian experimental film-maker and choreographer Paul Wenninger and developing a documentary about dream and languages.

She writes and directs animated and live-action films, with a particular interest in 3D stereoscopy.

She is currently working on writing a feature-length documentary project while continuing her experimental research.

Liking to define herself as a midwife of stories and narratives, Nolwenn Guiziou has been a consultant for Groupe-Ouest since 2014, mainly in pre-writing programs.
