Groupe Ouest invites you to attend the screening of the film L’ENGLOUTIE by writer-director Louise Hémon on Wednesday, January 28 at 8:15 p.m. at the Even cinema.
The film’s co-writer Anaïs Tellenne will be present to talk with the audience after the screening.

Synopsis: 1899. On a stormy night, Aimée, a young Republican schoolteacher, arrives in a snow-covered hamlet on the edge of the Hautes-Alpes. Despite the locals’ mistrust, she is determined to enlighten them and dispel their dark beliefs.

Nominated for the 2025 César Awards and selected for the latest Cannes Film Festival, L’ENGLOUTIE is an “intelligent film […] contrasting loneliness and village solidarity, the dazzling light of the snow and the darkness of night-time avalanches, pagan mysticism and peasant pragmatism.” – France Culture.
