In 2026, 19 authors and 16 projects selected

In the context of a world that is teetering on the brink of unpalatable power dynamics and new forms of dependency, the LIM team takes the bull by the horns. In 2026, LIM becomes LIM², and its working methods are profoundly transformed. Thanks to the applied research work generated by its European Think-Tank (the StoryTANK) in the past 7 years, a new generation of devices will allow authors and filmmakers to immerse themselves in practices of deepening and densifying narrative proposals. These tools respond to fierce individualism through collaboration between sensibilities and mutual aid between peoples. Through new methods of spatialization of ideas and sounds, LIM² accompanies the authors and filmmakers in their factory of singular worlds, consistent and necessary, worlds that no generative AI will be able to imitate.
Antoine Le Bos – CEO
The long-awaited moment has arrived! An exciting new group of directors and screenwriters is ready to embark on the challenging yet rewarding journey of development. These 16 LIM² projects have been carefully chosen for their cinematic quality and thematic relevance. They come from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds, with film projects capable of reaching a broad audience, speaking more or less explicitly to today’s world.
Awaiting them in the coming months is a process of collective (re)working, exploring the possibilities of each story, with moments of “fermentation” and “distillation” to create an even more compelling project.
The uniqueness of each story, brought by the author’s personality and experience, enriched by the group’s contributions and filtered with the help of the tutors, within a framework rich in new methods and tools created specifically for development by LIM², promises an exciting new wave of films in the making.

Pre-selection
Selection
In 2026, LIM becomes LIM². As part of this evolution, 56 projects, led by 61 writer-directors from over 35 nationalities, have been selected to participate in an online workshop. Guided by two “dancing partners”, these workshops offer a deep dive into the innovative tools and methodologies of the LIM programme, specifically designed to support the early development stages of a fiction feature film.
These three sessions also provide a unique opportunity for filmmakers to connect, share ideas around the humanist values carried by LIM², and build a community of committed filmmakers for a changing world.
