SYNOPSIS:

In three days’ time, Nino faces a major trial. Until then, the doctors have given him two missions. Two imperatives that will take the young man through Paris, pushing him to become one with others and with himself.

L’Engloutie by Louise Hémon, selected for the 2025 Quinzaine des Cinéastes (14-24 may).

Louise Hémon took part in Boost Camp in 2018 – the program to boost the development of films directed by women, as well as the Groupe Ouest Annual Selection in 2019 for the development of this feature film. A seminal experience, since she then went on to write this screenplay with Anaïs Tellenne, whom she met at the Annual Selection. Produced by Margaux Juvénal at Take Shelter, L’Engloutie is the laureate of the CNC’s Aide à l’écriture, the Fondation Gan pour le Cinéma 2023’s Aide à la Création, the Bourse Beaumarchais-SACD, Emergence 2022 and received the Jury’s Special Mention at the Prix du Scénario 2023.
