Two opportunities to develop your fiction feature film
Puissance & âme | L’ossature du récit
Over two five-day sessions, this workshop offers around ten writers in the early stages of writing a feature film screenplay (less than 2 years) the opportunity to explore and strengthen the narrative and thematic potential of their story, establish a solid framework and define the main dramatic movements of their project before embarking on a long-term writing process.

Puissance & âme | Architecture & incarnation
Over two five-day sessions, this workshop offers around ten writers at an advanced stage of development or in the process of rewriting a feature film screenplay (more than 2 years) the opportunity to validate the narrative and thematic foundations of their story, develop the architecture of their screenplay, and work on their characters’ trajectories.
It may follow participation in Puissance & âme | L’ossature du récit.
Workshop dates:
16–20 November 2026 & 1–5 February 2027

How can I fund my participation in the workshops?
All Groupe Ouest workshops are open to writers and directors, as well as other professionals working in creative fields (web, literary writing, performing arts, visual arts, etc.).
Anyone engaged in paid professional work in the cultural sector contributes to vocational training funds administered by Afdas. The conditions for accessing these funds vary depending on your professional status: author, freelance entertainment worker, journalist, permanent employee, etc. www.afdas.com
Other funding opportunities are available through selective schemes. You can contact the relevant institutions directly to apply for financial support: CNC residency grants, the Fonds pour la jeune création francophone, regional funds, etc.
