Une zone à défendre

From 2015 to 2018, the Gan Foundation for Cinema and Le Groupe Ouest joined forces to create LA SÉLECTION. A privileged moment of discovery and exchange allowing emerging filmmakers and scriptwriters with new feature film projects to present their film ideas to producers or co-producers, to future professional partners beyond their usual networks. Romain Cogitore took part in LA SÉLECTION 2016 with his film project “Une zone à défendre”, then called “ZAD”.

Synopsis

Greg, an French special intelligence officer, is sent under a false identity to infiltrate a “ZAD” (zone to be defended). He meets Myriam, an environmental activist. Eighteen months later, Greg returns there for an official mission, he finds Myriam and discovers that she has a baby. Torn between his professional ambition and a budding love, Greg must make a choice that can change everything. Because time is short, soon everything will disappear.
