This film received support from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation Film Center as part of its light production grants program. As a result, Tom Adjibi participated in Groupe Ouest Développement’s 2023 “Scénario : Puissance & Âme” workshop to finalize the development of his film “This Is Not a French Film.”
SYNOPSIS
Tired of always being offered clichéd roles in films, Tom decides to make a video diary to explore the place of actors of color on screen. But his film spirals out of control when the actors he brings together confront him with his own shortcomings…
