In the spring of 2022, the Belgian director, Xavier Seron started filming his second feature film, “Chiennes de vie” in Brussels. The film was backed by the Centre du Cinéma de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles with the limited budget fund. This is how Xavier Seron came to take part in Groupe Ouest Développement workshop – Scénario : puissance & âme – for “Chiennes de vie”.

Synopsis

The misadventures of Tom, aiming to woo the concierge’s daughter, Cécile, agrees to look after his deceased neighbour’s chihuahua. The problem is, this seemingly harmless animal seems to have driven its master to suicide and wants to kill him. The misadventures of Greta, an actress and ambassador for a famous perfume, whose dog and assistant are run over by a truck. She meets Charlotte in a laundromat and suggest she replace her assistant… or maybe she could replace the dog. Finally, Franck and Lola who fall in love at first sight. Franck has never had so much in common with anyone as Lola… Except for one thing: she hates dogs. Franck will have to choose between Lola, his new love, and Perdita, his best friend and the best dog ever.
