Mathias Rifkiss
Trained as a sound engineer, Mathias Rifkiss spent his early years working in studios and on film sets. Captivated by storytelling and the desire to tell stories alongside his twin brother Colas, he set out to direct seven short films. “Passage(s),” “Recrue d’essence,” “13 minutes 44,” “Les chiens verts,” “La voix du père,” “Uniques,” and “La charge mentale” were widely screened and won awards at festivals.
After completing the Screenwriting Workshop at La Fémis, Mathias co-wrote and co-directed his first feature film, “La petite graine” (releasing April 15, 2026), with Colas. They have now joined Groupe Ouest to continue exploring their unique vision and develop their new auteur comedy, “Mr Le Président.”
