Leonardo van Dijl

Born in 1991 in Kortrijk (Belgium), Leonardo van Dijl began his career as an editor for Vice Magazine. He made his film debut with the short Get Ripped, which, after premiering at the Leuven International Short Film Festival, went on to win the Grand Jury Prize at Outfest LA. Two years later, Leo pursued a Master of Audiovisual Arts at the Luca School of Arts with the film Umpire. Previewed at the Locarno Film Festival, it was subsequently selected for numerous other festivals and received a special mention at the San Sebastian Film Festival. It also won the prestigious VAF Wildcard for Best Short Film.
Leo has directed numerous films, ranging from documentaries to music videos for Oscar and The Wolf, MoMu and Fifa
