Léa Todorov

Léa Todorov is an author, director, and producer. From documentaries to fiction—from Sauver l’Humanité aux heures de bureau (2012) in Kosovo to Utopie Russe (2014) in Russia, co-directed with Joanna Dunis—her work seeks to bridge the personal and the political, embedding unique stories within history. As a producer at Elinka Films, she supports Gaëlle Boucand’s projects. After developing a passion for alternative pedagogies while working on Révolution école: l’éducation nouvelle entre les deux guerres, she wrote and directed her first feature-length fiction film about Maria Montessori—La Nouvelle Femme (released in 2024). In 2026, she co-directed a short film—Graines de sable—with Amelia Nanni as part of the On est raccord! residency, a laboratory for experimenting with tools for cooperation in cinema and a space for creating socially engaged narratives.
