Jean-Benoît Ugeux

Jean-Benoît Ugeux is a Belgian writer, actor, and director of theater and film. In addition to his acting career, he began directing in 2012 and has directed Valeurs, Eastpak, La Musique, Abada, Belgium-20, Arbres, Fratres, La Petite Prison dans la Prairie, Inmaculada councepciou, and L’âge Mur.
Today, he works primarily as a director, creating both fiction and documentary films. He is currently shooting his second feature-length fiction film, while simultaneously writing his third and directing a documentary about Brussels’ garbage collectors.
He also practices ceramics, pinhole photography, cyanotypes, and badge-making. When he has a break, you’ll find him deep in the woods.
