Jean-Baptiste Huber
Jean-Baptiste, born in Paris, grew up in the Alps near Annecy. After brief film studies, he became the assistant to Cyril Collard, who encouraged him to write his own films. He directed Côté Nuit, followed by Viejo Pascuero, which was highly successful worldwide, and finally La Mise au Monde, which won the Special Jury Prize at Clermont-Ferrand.
In the meantime, he collaborated on scripts for other directors as a co-writer or consultant, and traveled extensively. He developed a deep passion for Latin America, where he directed several documentaries—this region became a significant source of inspiration. After directing a TV movie for Arte, he joined Le Groupe Ouest in 2014 for the development of his first feature film Mes frères (My Brothers), co-written with Gladys Marciano and adapted from the novel of the same name by Jérôme d’Astier.
