Marion Desseigne Ravel
As a teenager, Marion Desseigne Ravel trained in circus arts. A serious injury kept her out of the rehearsal studios and led her to discover filmmaking, participating in P. Trédez’s documentary Bitter Victories, about the struggles of migrants without papers in the Île-de-France region. Through this, she forged a relationship with images based on reality and encounters. Entering the Fémis film school, she discovered the work with actors and developed a taste for fiction. She has directed several short films, including The Walls, End of Summer, and Journey to Lemuria, which were selected for various festivals. Actively involved in community work, she also leads film education workshops for women and children without papers in the Goutte d’Or neighborhood.
She was supported by Le Groupe Ouest and later through LA SÉLECTION for the development of her feature film Cats Have Nine Lives, I Have a Bit Less. In parallel, she continues to collaborate on the writing of other film projects.
