
Sophie Kovess-Brun
With a university background focused mainly on storyboarding, Sophie Kovess-Brun made a few short films before becoming a fiction screenwriter for television.
In Belgium, she created three series for RTBF: Septième Ciel Belgique (24×52 min), À tort ou à raison (14×52 min), and e-legal (10×52 min).
In France she joined the writing team for seasons 6 and 7 of Engrenages (sold in over 60 countries).
In 2019, she co-wrote two feature films: Tu veux ou Tu veux pas with Sophie Marceau and Patrick Bruel, directed by Tonie Marshall, and Versus, the debut feature by François Valla, for which she also wrote LBD40 and Miracle Village.
In 2020, she directed a documentary on Boris Charmatz for France 5 (broadcast in January 2021). She is involved in several series projects, including Le Bugaled Breizh, co-written with Anne Landois for Sortilèges Production.
She is currently working with Audrey Diwan on the creation and writing of Plastiques (9×26 minutes), produced by Haut et Court and scheduled to shoot in 2024, as well as co-writing a biopic on Christiane Taubira with Murielle Magellan—La Ministre —produced by Les Films du Clan.
