Philippe Barrière

After studying philosophy and formal logic, Philippe developed a passion for script analysis and supporting film projects.

He was Head of Development at Mille et Une Productions from 2006 to 2009 and has worked independently as a consultant and trainer since 2010.

In 2014, he completed the Story Editing training at TorinoFilmLab’s Script Lab program. Since then, he has worked as a consultant for French and European producers and has also supported UK-based projects backed by the British Film Institute.

Philippe participates in workshops at TorinoFilmLab (Extended and Script Lab), Le Groupe Ouest, CEFPF (development workshop), Full Script Lab, Jump In at the Poitiers Film Festival, and La Scénaristerie (Héroïnes program).

He is also co-writer of the feature film Made in Bangladesh, by Rubaiyat Hossain, produced by Les Films de l’Après-Midi and distributed by Pyramide, and selected for the 2019 Toronto Film Festival.

In 2019, he participated as coordinator and scriptwriter in StoryTANK, the Think Tank created by Groupe Ouest bringing together researchers & scriptwriters.
