Maïté Sonnet

Maïté Sonnet is a scriptwriter and director.

Since graduating from the CEEA in 2016, she has worked on various series (for Arte Web, France 2, Slash, Netflix…), feature films (alongside Mathilde Chavanne, Kahina Le Querrec…), as well as films and animation programs(including Garces, by Manon Tacconi).

She directing her first short film Massacre, selected in some 30 festivals, in 2019. Des jeunes filles enterrent leur vie (selected at the Quinzaine des cinéastes in 2022), is her second short film.

She is currently working on her first feature film, Tu feras tomber les Rois, supported by the Gan Foundation, which will be shot in 2026.
