Juliette Sales

Juliette Sales studied at Sciences-Po, ESSEC, and the University of Kent. She worked as a producer at UGC Images for seven years before turning to screenwriting.

She co-wrote several feature films, including the animated film Piccolo, Saxo et Compagnie, Zaïna, Cavalière de l’Atlas by Bourlem Guerdjou, Not Here to Be Loved (Je ne suis pas là pour être aimé) directed by Stéphane Brizé (four César nominations in 2006), Burnt Out (Sauf le respect que je vous dois) by Fabienne Godet, the English-language fantasy thriller Dorothy by Agnès Merlet (four IFTA nominations in 2009), the musical comedy Toi, moi, les autres by Audrey Estrougo, and Nobody Else But You (Poupoupidou) directed by Gérald Hustache-Mathieu.

Since 2010 Juliette has been writing with Fabien Suarez. Together they have co-written seven feature films, including the Belle & Sébastien trilogy produced by Gaumont and Radar Films, Normale by Olivier Babinet produced by Haut & Court, and Toutes pour Une by Houda Benyamina.

Juliette runs a screenwriting workshop at Sciences-Po Paris and also teaches at the Groupe Ouest and La Fémis.
