
Julien Gras-Payen
After studying fine arts in Lyon and later cinema in Paris, he entered the industry working in all different departments : location management, production, and directing assistance.
A laureate of the Villa Medici for a documentary project, he also co-directed two short films selected in several international festivals, before settling in Brussels and dedicating himself entirely to screenwriting.
He has written and co-written numerous episodes for French and Belgian series such as eLEGAL, TROPIQUES CRIMINELS, and ATTRACTION (winner at the 2022 La Rochelle Festival), with a focus on crime and thriller genres.
In parallel, he has created several series, including LES LICORNES, a choral drama for RTBF, and OURAL, a thriller developed during the Groupe Ouest series workshop in partnership with Arte.
In 2023, he co-wrote THE 27TH NIGHT (LA 27EME NUIT) with Kenan Gorgün, an esoteric thriller produced by Unité Fiction and Agat Films for Disney+, ANTARTICA with Olivier Pairoux, a horror thriller for RTL produced by Kwassa Films, and GRIZZLY with Joël Dicker, a mini-series adapted from the novel of the same name, produced by KBE.
