Claire Barré

Claire Barré is a screenwriter and novelist.

After training as an actress, she turned towards writing and studied for two years as a screenwriter at C.E.E.A. On finishing the program, she wrote for several television series (TF1, France 2 and Arte). Her screenplay An Ideal Wife received the Sopadin prize for Best Screenwriter, opening the world of cinema to her.

She has since worked with numerous directors (Anne Fontaine, Fabienne Berthaud, Audrey Dana, Olivier Ayache-Vidal, Fred Garson.). The first film that she has co-written, A bigger world by Fabienne Berthaud, starring Cécile de France, was released starting in 2019. A second one, Police, by Anne Fontaine, was shot beginning of 2019.

Claire has published several novels and has been a consultant and screenwriting professor at the University of Nanterre, in C.E.E.A., in the Femis, in Brazil, and Colombia.
