Lucile Hadžihalilović in Saint-Renan to present her film The Ice Tower, imagined in the Pays de Léon!
Le Groupe Ouest invites you to the screening of Lucile Hadžihalilović’s fourth feature film, The Ice Tower, recently released in cinemas.
The screening will take place on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 8:30 p.m. at the Cinéma Le Bretagne in Saint-Renan, and will be followed by a Q&A session with the director.
The Ice Tower was selected at the Berlin Film Festival, where it won the Silver Bear for Best Artistic Contribution.
Starring Marion Cotillard, the film tells the story of an encounter between a young orphan and a tyrannical star playing the Snow Queen during the shooting of a fairy-tale adaptation. A fascinating and chilling reinterpretation of Andersen’s classic.
Lucile Hadžihalilović developed The Ice Tower as part of Le Groupe Ouest’s Annual Selection in 2017.
Since July 2025, an excerpt from the screenplay of The Ice Tower has been featured on one of the walls of the village of Plounéour-Brignogan-Plages, as part of the open-air exhibition Cinambule.
