Hearty congratulations to Lila Pinell, winner of the Gan Foundation’s 2025 creative grant, awarded each year to four first or second feature-length fiction films selected on the basis of their screenplays.
Discovered through her medium-length film LE ROI DAVID, which won the 2021 Jean Vigo Prize, Lila Pinell joined the Groupe Ouest Annual Selection in 2023 to develop SHANA, her first feature film, which continues and expands on the universe of her medium-length film.
Shot in September 2025 and produced by Les Films du Losange, the film stars Eva Huault, Sékouba Doucouré, and Noémie Lvovsky.
