Vitrival

A film by Baptiste Bogaert and Noëlle Bastin, a Belgian directorial duo based in Brussels.

Vitrival was supported by the Centre du Cinéma de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles as part of its light production program. In 2022, Baptiste Bogaert and Noëlle Bastin took part in Groupe Ouest Développement’s workshop Scénario : puissance & âme to finalize the development of Vitrival.

SYNOPSIS

Benjamin and Petit Pierre, two cousins who work in the neighborhood, patrol Vitrival listening to Radio Chevauchoir. They have their work cut out for them: graffiti of cocks is plentiful on the village walls, and no one has seen a thing. At the same time, a resident commits suicide and is buried… then two, then three.

Season after season, while a drum makes a racket, the graffiti continues and so do the suicides. What can Pierre and Benjamin do? But that won’t stop the days and festivals from continuing.
