
Julien Dara
Julien Dara is a Belgian director born in 1987 in London. After earning a literary baccalaureate and studying for two years at INSAS (Brussels), he worked for two years as an assistant editor at Bonne Pioche Television. He then met director Tony Gatlif, with whom he worked as a personal assistant for four years. He began working as an assistant director, first on Gatlif’s films and later on other feature films. After directing his first short film Le Sac, he co-directed The Ordinary with his brother Simon, followed by The Color of Kings.
Julien and Simon Dara were supported by Le Groupe Ouest for the development of their feature film My Road.
