A moi aussi ça fait mal

Sélection Annuelle 2022

Just as he’s about to achieve his dream of becoming a journalist for a major newsroom, Abi (25), a reserved and solitary Black man, meets Gaëtan (35), a lively and fun-loving white man. From first glance, Gaëtan is smitten and is determined to win him over. Captivated by Gaëtan’s zest for life, Abi gives in. What follows is a whirlwind romance, wild, passionate, and intoxicating. With Gaëtan, Abi blossoms, gradually shedding his shyness and discovering a world he barely knows : the vibrant, trendy, Parisian gay scene. Despite the differences in their backgrounds, Abi flourishes and falls deeply in love. The two enjoy a seemingly perfect romance. But as time passes, with routines, new encounters, and unforeseen events, Gaëtan begins to reveal a side Abi didn’t see coming : one that is humiliating, degrading, and racist.
