
Hilke Rönnfeldt
Born on the Baltic Sea coast in northern Germany, and of Danish-Icelandic descent, Hilke Rönnfeldt is a screenwriter and director.
She graduated in screenwriting from the Swedish Alma Education program, and in directing from the independent film school Super16 in Copenhagen. She has also been selected for Berlinale Talents, Oxbelly Episodic Lab and European Short Pitch. Her films have been screened at numerous international festivals, and her latest short, A STUDY OF EMPATHY, won the Golden Leopard at the Locarno Festival 2023.
Her work explores rural communities, the world of work, intimacy and the sea. She firmly believes in the poetic power of the image.
