Cécile Mille
Born in 1978, Cécile Mille began her career in cinema as assistant director and through street casting. Her first three documentary projects—Sexe1, Le Dictionnaire Infidèle de l’Amour, and Paris-Lille 220 kilomètres—are all variations on a single theme: the discourse of love. Her work falls somewhere between video art, video diaries and encounter films. She directed Casimir, Chasseur de têtes as part of the Une place au soleil collection for Arte, this time diving into the work world.
Les Garçons n’existent pas, developed within the 2014 Annual Selection, is her first feature film. Cécile also participated in La Sélection, an event co-organized by Groupe Ouest and the Gan Foundation for Cinema with this project.
