Le Dernier des Cailloux
Sélection Annuelle 2022
It tells the story of a deep-sea dinosaur, the last of its kind, which has managed to survive until the present day, and of Firmin, an overly ambitious 11-year-old boy staring out at the sea in a foggy Breton village. Their paths cross on the lighthouse island where their relationship evolves from initial dislike to fascination. Firmin frees the creature from fishing nets, after which it refuses to leave. It has something important to tell the boy.
