Aristotelis Maragkos
Aristotelis Maragkos is a writer and director whose work explores obsession, memory, and the persistence of the past. His films experiment with form and materials, and have screened at international festivals including Telluride, Locarno, and Annecy.
His collage feature The Timekeepers of Eternity is a found-footage appropriation of the 1995 TV miniseries The Langoliers. It premiered at Fantastic Fest in 2021 to critical acclaim and has since screened at over 70 international festivals, winning Best Experimental Film at Sharjah Film Platform 2022 and BAFICI 2022. The film was acquired by AGFA for its theatrical catalogue and continues to screen worldwide.
His first narrative feature, Beachcomber, won the Silver Alexander for Best Director and the Achievement Award for Best Cinematography at the Thessaloniki Film Festival 2026
