László Nemes feature film “Best Foreign-language Film”
Son of Saul, László Nemes first feature film, has topped off its impressive haul of awards with the Oscar for Best Foreign-language Film. László Nemes became the second Hungarian filmmaker to win the Oscar for Best Foreign-language Film, after Istvan Szabo did so in 1982 (with Mephisto), and this Hollywood victory is coming after a succession of awards (Grand Prix in Cannes, Golden Globe for Best Foreign-language Film, etc.).
Well done László! We are looking forward to see the second feature film…
László Nemes came to Groupe Ouest in 2012 to work on his second feature film – Sunset – within the framework of the international workshops with the TorinoFilmLab (Script&Pitch 2012).
