“Divines”, big winner of the César
Nominated in seven categories, Houda Benyamina’s feature film – Groupe Ouest 2013 – won three awards
DIVINES, by Houda Benyamina, co-written with Romain Compingt – coached in 2013 within the framework of Groupe Ouest Annual Selection – had already been awarded with the Golden Camera at Cannes Film Festival in 2016. On Friday 24 February 2017, during the 42nd César Ceremony (national film award of France), the film has been distinguished three times! Oulaya Amamra first: the main actress of the film was awarded Most Promising Actress. DIVINES was then named Best First Feature Film. And finally, Déborah Lukumuena received the César of Best Supporting Actress.

Moreover, the César for Best Short Film was given to Maïmouna Doucouré for MAMAN(S) and to Alice Diop for VERS LA TENDRESSE. Maïmouna Doucouré took part in a workshop of Groupe Ouest Développement in 2016 for the writing of her first feature film.
