The feature film wrote by Sabrina B. Karine & Alice Vial – Groupe Ouest 2011 – pursues its path in cinemas

On 10 February 2016, Les Innocentes (Agnus Dei) was released on French screens. The film was written by Sabrina B. Karine & Alice Vial, and directed by Anne Fontaine. The tale, inspired by a true story, begins in Poland in 1945: after the Second World War, a nurse of the French Red Cross discovers that in a convent of the neighborhood of Warsaw, around thirty nuns get ready to deliver, raped by Russian soldiers…

This films was a kind of fairy tale for two young scriptwriters, Alice and Sabrina: spotted at the International Scriptwriters Festival in 2011, le Groupe Ouest awarded them a prize. Fifteen days after, the two scriptwriters were invited to take part to Goupe Ouest’s Yearly Selection. On the programme, hand in hand with a group of six authors, four sessions of scritwriting coaching in residency in Brignogan-Plages (Brittany) on their project of feature film, Les Innocentes, then called Au nom de la mère (In the name of the mother).

Two months after its release, Les Innocentes gathered 700.000 spectators in cinemas! It will be shown in Premiere at COLCOA French Film Festival in mid-April. The fairy tale continues…
