Julien Lilti and Simon Rouby film – Groupe Ouest 2009 – soon on screens

The French release of Adama, animation feature film of Julien Lilti and Simon Rouby is fixed on the  21st of October 2015. The author and director were part of Groupe Ouest 2009 Yearly Selection and of TorinoFilmLab Script&Pitch 2010 and Framework on 2011 programmes.

Adama tells the odyssey of a Senegalese boy through France during the First World War:
Adama, 12 years old, lives in an isolated village of western Africa. Beyond cliffs is the World of the Breaths, a world at war. When Samba, his older brother, leaves suddenly the village, Adama decides to go in his search.

Adama, produced by Philippe Aigle and Séverine Lathuillière (Naïa Productions), will be distributed in France by Océan Films. The film is in phase of finalization in the island of La Réunion in the animation studio Pipangaï. It obtained in June 2014 the Fondation Gan Support for Diffusion. The film also received an advance on receipts from the CNC, the help of France 3, the help for writing of the CNC and the help to the New Technologies of the CNC. It is supported by the fund for audiovisual innovation of the CNC. Finally, it was selected by the First World War Centenary Partnership Program and in the Cartoon Movie on 2011 (section development).
