The 1st cartoon feature film 100% made in Brittany, by Jean-François Laguionie, supported by the Breizh Film Fund
Jean-François Laguionie, the well know French author of cartoon films, presents in world preview on 15 June 2016 at Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Louise en hiver (Louise in winter), his fifth feature film which will be released in cinemas on 23 November 2016.
Louise en hiver is produced by JPL Films, in Rennes (Brittany). The company received the support of the Breizh Film Fund for the production of the film. In this new film, Jean-François Laguionie tells the adventure of an old lady, Louise, interpreted by Dominique Frot:
At the end of the summer, Louise sees the last train of the season, which serves the small sea resort of Biligen, leave without her. The city is left. The weather quickly degrades, the spring tides of equinox arise condemning now electricity and means of communication. Fragile and pretty, much less armed than Robinson, Louise should not survive winter…
The film, coproduced with Tchack for France and Unité Centrale for Canada, was made in 2015 with animated 2D painting in JPL Films studios in Rennes and in Tréguier, where the author is living.
